Lions vs Saints - Sept 13th at the Superdome - A Scary Saints Game

I'm certainly looking forward to the Saints vs Lions this Sunday. I fully expect the New Orleans Saints to dominate the measly Lions. But behind all the confidence I'm a little worried. From years of experience I know depending on the Saints to win easy games can tear your heart out. I've torn up more than one Saints ticket in frustration, watching them lose to a team they had no business falling to.

Just to boost myself I'm going to list every reason I believe the Saints should initiate a blowout.
1) The Saints defense should dominate a Lions offense that looks to be led by a rookie quarterback. The aggressive blitz schemes of Gregg Williams should keep the boy baffled. Plus, our secondary looks like it can creat tuirnovers and against the Lions that should happen more than once.
2) Drew Brees has more weapons at his disposal than any other time in his career. Marques Colston is back and healthy. Jeremy Shockey is healthy. Robert Meacham looks ready to contribute. And finally, Pierre Thomas and Mike Bell should give us a dependable running game.

You may have noticed I didn't mention Reggie Bush. He's nursing injuries as usual and I don't have high hopes for him to play if he doesn't have to. Hopefully, he can sit this one out, or play sparingly, and we'll keep him on the field for later games when we really need him.

Anyway, I'm keeping my Saints vs Lions tickets where I can see them and using them to ward off anxiety.
